On April 26, component school boards voted 20-2 to approve Questar III’s $4.1 million administrative budget for 2011-2012.

The total administrative budget for the 2011-2012 school year is $4,118,053, which is $137,858 more than the current year’s budget. However, only $10,494 of the increase will be absorbed by component school districts due to offsetting revenues from statewide services.

This budget supports the management, coordination and leadership provided by the BOCES board of education and central administration. This is the only portion of the BOCES budget that component school districts vote on each year.

School boards unanimously reelected incumbents Joseph Garland (Coxsackie-Athens CSD), John Hill (Hoosic Valley CSD), James Keegan (Hudson CSD) and Marilyn Noonan (Catskill CSD) to three-year terms beginning July 1.

All component school districts are required by law to vote on the BOCES administrative budget on the same day.
