The Ivy Spa in East Greenbush donated free chair massages to teachers at Questar III’s George Washington School in Troy in recognition of Teacher Appreciation Week.

Principal Chris Martel explained that the jobs of the teachers at George Washington often go beyond planning, instruction and grading; they often act as advocates, case managers, behaviorists, and therapists for the students and families they serve, and team leaders for the staff who work with them.
Martel said, “Thanks to the generosity of Ivy Spa owner, Scott Noel, we were able to provide our teachers with a brief moment of relaxation and pampering during their incredibly busy and sometimes stressful work day.”
