The visit showed the students a variety of career options in the aviation field and introduced them to the people they communicate with on the radio.

While visiting Schenectady County Airport, students also heard from a representative from Schenectady County Community College to learn more about their aviation program.

Aviation instructor, Travis Costello, believes exposing his students to varying aspects of aviation will provide them with a well-developed understanding of the field.

“This opportunity for students to be welcomed into such a vital part of the aviation industry helps promote our future pilots learning. It gives students a sense of comfort when speaking to a familiar voice over the radio,” Costello said. “I am thankful to all of those who have been so welcoming to include us in their busy schedules.”
