Q: How long have you worked here?
I have worked for Questar III since January 2015.
Q: How do you see your role in supporting the BOCES and the school districts it supports?
By having the opportunity to teach Adaptive Physical Education at several schools, I have the ability to collaborate with fellow educators and create a curriculum that both challenges and supports my students’ needs. I think that it’s essential to provide our students with opportunities for success, while setting achievable goals. I also believe that creating a friendly teaching atmosphere and promoting a positive learning environment is essential in furthering the education of our students.
Q: What is your background like – previous jobs, your education, etc.
I graduated from Sage Graduate School in 2010 with a MS in Childhood Education and Literacy. I also received a BS in Physical Education from Sage College of Albany in 2008. I’m currently certified to teach Physical Education K-12, Childhood Education 1-6, and Literacy B-6. I began teaching at Berlin Elementary School, where I taught Physical Education from 2008-2011. I then moved to Fort Myers, Florida where I taught for the past 3 years. At this school, I had the opportunity to teach middle school students, assume the role as Assistant Athletic Director, Physical Education Department Head, and as the Wellness Coordinator. I also had the privilege to coach cross-country, volleyball, basketball, and track and field.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
I enjoy having the opportunity to travel to different schools and teach at both the middle school and high school level. It’s nice to be apart of the community at different sites and have the chance to work with several physical educators.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, vacationing in Walt Disney World, and coaching youth sports. I also enjoy traveling to new places and attending local sporting events.
