Students at Questar III’s Rensselaer Academy were recognized for their achievements during the 2014-2015 school year in an award ceremony June 5. Awards were given to students in the following categories:

Excellence in Attendance- 5 days or less of unexcused absences:
Humanitarian Award: For taking action to improve the lives of others
The “I Can” Award: For development of positive attitude
The “Golden Sponge” Award: For commitment to learning
The “Golden Chain” Award: For community spirit and helping others
The “Golden Scale” Award: For good balance and judgment
The “Golden Rose” Award: For commitment to personal growth and positive change
The “Golden Phoenix” Award: For most improved overall behavior from last year to this year
The “Ironman” Award: For consistently maintaining a high level of excellence on Level 4 at Rensselaer Academy
Students also voted on the following awards for faculty and staff:
Platinum Positivity: Awarded to the faculty member who has shown a commitment to a positive and engaging environment
Life Saver: Awarded to a faculty member who assists a student in a time of need.
Best Listener: Awarded to a faculty member who listens to a student when they need to talk.
Best Problem Solver: Awarded to a faculty member who assists students in figuring out their concerns or problems.
Boomerang: Awarded to a faculty who is most likely to assist a student in getting back into program.
Student Cornerstone: Awarded to faculty members who provide a solid foundation to our school community.
Principal’s Award Team Player: Awarded to faculty member who consistently puts the needs of the school community above their own.
Principal’s Cornerstone Award: Awarded to faculty members who provide a solid foundation to our school community.
