Questar III would like to extend warm congratulations and sincere thanks to Catskill Academy administrative assistant Deena Pewtherer, who retired August 1 after 10 years of service to the organization.
Catskill Academy Principal Andrew Pemrick says Deena’s contributions to the school will be sorely missed.
“She greeted everyone with a smile and was always looking to help. She always put students and staff first and took extreme pride in her work,” said Pemrick.
He says the staff adored Deena and knew they could always count on her to help them in any way, and called her “proficient, diligent, and meticulous”.
“As a principal, you could wait a long time to work with someone like Deena. She made me not only a better administrator, but a better person. Always providing sound guidance or suggestions, always looking forward, and always finding the positive in any given situation,” Pemrick said.
While Deena is looking forward to enjoying her retirement, she says she will of course miss coming to work each day.
“My thanks to Principal Andy Pemrick and the entire team at Catskill Academy for making me feel appreciated every single day. Life at Questar has been challenging, rewarding, and productive. I will truly miss the friends I have made, the fun we have had, and the joy of the work we do,” she said.
