On Tuesday, June 6, students in Columbia-Greene Educational Center’s Career & Technical Education and Career Studies programs, as well as Career Academy and Alternative Learning Program were recognized for the efforts during the 2016-2017 school year. Columbia-Greene Community College again hosted the annual CGEC Award Ceremony. The evening also included the induction of 26 students into the National Technical Honor Society, including one student inducted for the second year.
Nine students were recognized for completing the ALP and will graduate once completing all required Regents exams, 11 students completed the full-day Career Academy program, which combines academic classes with CTE or Career Studies classes as students are able, and six students were awarded scholarships for outstanding work.
