BUILDING CONDITION SURVEY
Information about the next round of Building Condition Surveys, including the assignment schedule for the next four (4) years can be found on SED’s Facilities Planning website. Districts should check the list to be sure that the BCS is planned for and completed in the appropriate year.
REGENTS DAYS AND MODEL CALENDARS
The State Aid Unit at SED has posted both guidance regarding Regents Days for grades other than 7-12 as well as Model Calendars for 2019-20 and 2020-21. They can be found here. Districts who have dismissed students in grade 6 and below during Regents exams are encouraged to read and understand the clarification posted. Your district practice may need to be changed so that students in all grades are meeting their minimum instructional time requirement for the year.
NYS SCHOOL FUNDING TRANSPARENCY REPORTING
If your district receives Foundation Aid, then you will be required to submit the NYS School Funding Transparency Form for the 2020-21 school year. It’s not too early to start thinking about, and getting your budget and account code structure ready, to be able to report. Guidance can be found on the NYS Division of Budget website at https://www.budget.ny.gov/schoolFunding/index.html.
