The Teachers’ Retirement System (TRS) released an administrative bulletin last week recommending school districts use an employer contribution rate of 9.8% of 2021-22 payroll. The estimated contribution rate is up from the 2020-21 contribution rate of 9.53%. The TRS board is expected to formally adopt the 2021-22 employer contribution rate at its July meeting.
