Questar III BOCES has been recognized for excellence at the 2012 Hermes Awards, an international competition for creative professionals. Out of 4,700 entries from across the globe, Questar III earned seven awards, including the contest’s highest honor.
Questar III won the Platinum Award in the Recruitment Ads category for its District Superintendent search brochure, written and designed by its Communications Service. It also won gold medals for its annual calendar, Stakeholders Report and a poster developed for the annual high school art invitation held at WMHT.
The organization also received honorable mentions for its career and technical education (CTE) program brochure, Lansingburgh CSD superintendent search brochure and the New York State PTA Convention keynote address given by Questar III District Superintendent James N. Baldwin in November 2011.
Judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), the Hermes Awards recognizes the creativity of marketing and communication professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional and emerging media. AMCP judges are industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.
Winners were selected from 179 categories grouped under advertising, publications, marketing/branding, integrated marketing, public relations/communications, electronic media and pro bono work. This year’s recipients ranged from individual communicators to Fortune 500 companies.
Questar III was the only BOCES in New York State that earned the Platinum and Gold distinction this year.
Questar III’s Communications Service has also been recognized for excellence in school communications by the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) and New York State Public Relations Association (NYSPRA).
