The State Education Department has posted a web memo regarding the Building Aid projections that are part of the 2020-21 Executive Budget proposal. The memo can be found here.
Previously, in order for Building Aid to be estimated in the budget proposal, a project had to have:
- An SA-139 form on file prior to the November 15th database update
- 18 months from Commissioner’s Approval Date had been reached
Under the 2020-21 Executive Budget proposal, a project must have met the following four criteria in order for Building Aid to be projected:
- An SA-139 form on file prior to the November 15th database update
- 18 months after Commissioner’s Approval Date had been reached
- A Certificate of Substantial Completion (CSC) on file prior to the November 15th database update
- A Final Cost Report (FCR) or Early Aid Start (EAS) approval on file prior to the November 15th database update.
Please note that aid not projected on the 2020-21 Executive Budget proposal can still be realized if the CSC and FCR are filed with the state prior to June 30, 2021.
