Virginia LuPone was recently hired as a Questar III career-tech teacher.
What do you do at Questar III?
I am a Media Communications Teacher at Catskill High School which is hosting the Upstate Media Academy (UMA). This is new Questar III Media career and technical education (CTE) program that offers students college credit.
What attracted you to Questar III?
I am attracted to Questar III’s commitment to educational innovation as well as the compassion for the students and the communities they serve.
What did you do prior to coming here?
I worked at Catskill High School in their Technology Department before joining the Questar III team. Before acquiring my teaching certification, I worked in the entertainment industry and the field of advertising, specifically commercial production in New York City.
What is the favorite part of your job?
The students are my favorite part of my job. I love my students.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by the resilience of my students and the trust they extend to me.
What is something unique your co-workers may not know about you?
I love to cook and host at least one dinner party a week as well as an ‘all are welcome’ breakfast at my home every Sunday morning.
