Questar III staff gathered at the Empire State Plaza for the organization’s Orientation Day program on September 2.
The annual program, which serves as a kick-off for the new school year, featured a variety of speakers including District Superintendent Gladys Cruz.
Cruz discussed the importance of Questar III’s strategic plan – Shared Success – and how it guides the organization’s day-to-day work.
During her remarks Cruz also invited program graduates, a parent and a teacher to tell stories. She also recognized employees for their contributions to bringing the strategic plan to life.
Keynote speaker Jim Snack both inspired and entertained employees on the importance of learning and collaboration.
Questar III also honored its late Board President Bob Gibson with a video tribute and remarks from his wife Donna and board colleague Jack Hill.
Employees also had the opportunity to attend afternoon workshops on curriculum mapping, wellness, technology and other topics. Staff also visited more than 20 vendor and Questar III booths ranging from flu shots to information about services.
