A group of Questar III special education students are using CDTA’s STAR (Special Transit Available by Request) bus service to travel to different destinations across the Capital Region.

Most recently, students in Emily Bluhm and Nancy Braley’s classes at Goff Middle School in East Greenbush traveled to the New York State Museum in Albany. Students viewed different exhibits, participated in interactive activities at Discovery Place and rode the carousel.

Social Worker Miriam Giller, who was instrumental in securing the bus transportation through CDTA, said this experience introduces students to resources available in their community.

Bluhm’s class also traveled by STAR bus to the East Greenbush Library in late March.
