Megan, NV Medical student from Ichabod Crane CSD teaches CPR compressions
For the sixth consecutive year, Questar III participated in the Back to School Expo- the largest event of its kind in the region. The Expo was held September 17th at the Empire State Plaza in Albany.
At Questar III’s booth, New Visions teachers Ruth Russell and Tammie Borland, along with New Visions: Medical students Megan Malanowski and Emily Haworth demonstrated and instructed participants on the steps for hands-only CPR using CPR training Manikins. Also on display was an interactive brain model and books telling about the brain, as well as a model of a cell created by a CNA student. Russell and Borland also answered questions and provided information about all of the Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs available to students.
Questar III’s New Visions programs are available to high school seniors, and CTE programs are available to juniors and seniors.
The event also featured entertainment, exhibits, giveaways and celebrity appearances by Karan Brar (Ravi from the show Jessie and Bunk’d) and Kelly Berglund (Bree from Disney XD’s Lab Rats).
