Our mission at Questar III is to continuously be evaluating and providing the best possible services and programs for the students in the region. To continue this mission, we are making a change to our building leadership at George Washington School and the Academy at Rensselaer Educational Center.
Beginning on July 1, 2017, Ms. Danielle Remillard will be the new principal at George Washington School and Chris Martel will be the new principal at the Academy at REC. Ms. Remillard will continue to supervise the social workers and psychologists. In addition to Mr. Martel’s responsibilities as principal at the Academy at REC, he will supervise the programs at Columbia High School as well as the Sarah’s Sisters program at The Arts Center in Troy.
Change provides opportunity – and we are looking to utilize the strengths and experiences of our principals to benefit both student populations and school buildings. We look forward to supporting them and building upon their successes as they assume their new roles.
Over the next several weeks, Mr. Martel and Ms. Remillard will be working together to support these transitions – including getting to better know their new staff, students and parents.
