Questar III students joined their peers from around the world in a reading effort to improve literacy skills. Questar III special education students in six buildings participated in the Jump Start Read for the Record campaign on October 4.
Volunteers, including Questar III administrators, read Ezra Jack Keats’ book “The Snowy Day” to students. Students listened intently as adult readers read the simple tale of a boy waking up to discover that snow has fallen during the night.
This is the second year Questar III participated in the event, now in its fifth year. An estimated one million children participated in the global program aimed at raising awareness about childhood literacy.
