On May 12, 2021 NYSED released a memo pertaining to the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act of 2021.  LEA’s are required to submit signed ARP-ESSER assurances to NYSED by May 24, 2021 which is available in SED Monitoring and Vendor Reporting System. Please note this requirement is separate from the application and not subject to an extension.

The memo specifically addresses the federal posting requirement for the ARP grant:

“Federally Required LEA ARP-ESSER Plan for Use of Funds

USDE’s IFR requires each LEA receiving ARP-ESSER funds to develop a plan for the use of ARP-ESSER funds.  For New York State’s LEA’s, an application for its base 90% ARP-ESSER allocation will serve as meeting this USDE LEA ARP-ESSER plan requirement, provided the required elements of the plan are built into the LEA’s application, combined with a budget, and then publicly posted after being developed with public input.”
