The American Rescue Plan provided additional funds to NYS for Homeless Children grants. Funds appropriated under the ARP-HCY program will be available for obligation until September 30, 2024. The link to the total allocations can be found here.
The first installment of funds (ARP-HCY, Part I) was provided to McKinney-Vento subgrantees in December 2021.
The second installment of funds (ARP-HCY, Part II) is providing grant allocations to most districts in the State. LEAs with allocations of less than $5,000 will need to apply for ARP-HCY II funding as part of a consortium. Applications are due by Thursday, March 31, 2022.
