SED posted a memo reminding districts to allow for sufficient time for construction projects funded with federal ESSER funds to be fully obligated and liquidated by federal deadlines, please be advised that:
• all new ESSER II (Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations – CRRSA) funded construction projects must be submitted to NYSED’s Office of Facilities Planning prior to March 1, 2023; and
• all new American Rescue Plan (ARP)-ESSER funded construction projects must be submitted to NYSED’s Office of Facilities Planning prior to October 1, 2023.
Additionally, SED posted another memo as a reminder that the CARES, CRRSA and ARP funds must be used for allowable, permissible, necessary and reasonable purposes.
