Ahmad named Vanguard finalist

Questar III student Maira Ahmad was recently named a finalist for the 2011-2012 Vanguard Student Recognition Award. The award is presented annually to selected high school students enrolled in enrolled in career and technical education (CTE) programs that prepare them for careers that are not traditional for their gender.

Students gain real world experience

A group of career and technical education (CTE) students from Questar III’s Rensselaer Educational Center in Troy completed week-long internships at the University at Albany as part of their school’s work-based learning (WBL) program.

Questar III receives state grant

Questar III will receive funding as part of the $62.7 million in economic development funding awarded to the Capital Region on Dec. 8.

Students from Questar III’s Rensselaer Educational Center in Troy recently volunteered to be “fans in the stands” at the New York State Fall Special Olympics in Glen Falls October 21-22.
