Students earn top prizes in engineering contest

Students in Questar III’s New Visions: Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) program earned scholarships in the 2011 Society of Manufacturing Engineers Presentation Contest.

Questar III students return from world health mission

Recently, four high school students returned from a one week trip to Guatemala with medical staff and volunteers from the non-profit Glens Falls Hospital Medical Mission to provide health care and study public health issues in a medically underserved area.

Teacher presents at neuroscience conference

Ruth Russell, who teaches Questar III’s New Visions: Scientific Research & World Health program, presented on “Outreach: Public Awareness in Neuroscience” at the 2011 Hunter College Psychology Convention/N.E.U.R.O.N Conference on April 10.

Student advances to U.S. championship

Emily Bobrick, a senior from Greenville High School who attends Questar III’s New Visions: Scientific Research & World Health, won first place at the local Brain Bee held at the University at Albany on March 12.
