Students gain real world experience

A group of career and technical education (CTE) students from Questar III’s Rensselaer Educational Center in Troy completed week-long internships at the University at Albany as part of their school’s work-based learning (WBL) program.

Students from Questar III’s Rensselaer Educational Center in Troy recently volunteered to be “fans in the stands” at the New York State Fall Special Olympics in Glen Falls October 21-22.

Students, staff learn more about post-secondary opportunities

Questar III’s Rensselaer Educational Center (REC) in Troy hosted its annual college fair. The event featured 14 colleges and military representatives – the largest number that’s ever participated in the school’s college fair.

Walking with a purpose

A group of Questar III students, staff and their friends and families participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in Albany’s Washington Park on Oct. 16. The fundraising event has been a Questar III tradition since 2000.

CTE launches three new training programs

High school students in Rensselaer, Columbia and Greene counties are now learning hands-on skills in three new career and technical education (CTE) programs.
