More and more teachers are integrating laptops and tablet computers – such as Apple’s iPad – into their instruction to increase the 21st century learning and engagement that students require. Questar III BOCES will offer a summer series of training on various Apple software to help teachers effectively utilize the technology.

Through its School Improvement Office,Questar III BOCES developed a regional approach to implementing the Regents Reform Agenda several years ago, before many details became final on new teacher and principal evaluation systems and Common Core standards.
As Questar III BOCES Chief Information Officer and Data Analyst, Jeff Baker’s responsibilities are twofold. He is responsible for providing the New York State Department of Education (NYSED) with student data and BOCES teacher evaluation information. More importantly, he is helping schools go beyond these reporting requirements to drive instructional change and curriculum improvement through the use of data.
