New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) recently appointed Questar III BOCES Special Education Teacher Beth St. Clair-Bedell to the State Education Commissioner’s Teacher Advisory Council. The council was primarily formed to provide NYSED with direct feedback from the front lines of the Regents Reform Agenda in terms of what works and what still needs improvement.
Questar III BOCES recently launched the first full-day project-based program for juniors and seniors, a collaboration between the Special Education and Career and Technical Education departments.
With fresh memories of the devastating effects last year’s Tropical Storm Irene had on many towns in Greene County, students at Questar III BOCES’ Catskill Academy were eager to pool their change together to help downstate residents recoup from Hurricane Sandy.
As the new principal at Questar III’s Catskill Academy, Andrew Pemrick is quickly familiarizing himself with students and staff. His goals for the year are to establish a sense of community and to challenge students both academically and behaviorally.
