Application Procedures for Summer 2020 Special Education Programs
Summer 2020 special education program applications for both new programs and modifications to existing approvals are due to SED no later than June 1, 2020.
STAC
2020-21 School Year Program Service Dates
School districts, BOCES and private special education providers should use their assigned STAC Usercodes to access their program information online and, if necessary, correct their 2020-21 program dates by June 15, 2020.
June 1st Verification Deadline – 4201 4-Month Placements
Online verification for tuition reimbursement is open for the September 2019 through December 2019 period for students placed by your district at one of the eleven §4201 State Supported Schools.
New School Age Payment Reports – Now Available
The NYSED STAC/Medicaid Unit has processed 14 Approved Payment Reports (APRs) that are now available.
SED’s Memo on Provisions to SWD During COVID-19
SED has released guidance that states school districts are required to continue to pay tuition for student placements in Nonpublic Schools with Approved Special Education Programs.
Recoupment of Certain Duplicate 4408 Summer 2014 Transportation
The STAC & Medicaid Unit has indicated that there are approximately 100 school districts affected by a recent $2.4 million duplicate aid payment for transportation claims for the §4408 Summer 2014 program.
