Questar III provides needed support for students with special needs all year long, but summer can bring with it regression if those supports don’t continue.
Medicaid Cost Report Settlements – Funding Now Available for 4/1/15 – 6/30/16
The NYSED Medicaid in Education Unit released an announcement July 6, 2018 that districts that participated in the 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16 cost settlement processes will be eligible to share in 13.05% of the net Certification of Public Expenditures (CPE) cost settlement for the period April 1, 2015 – June 30, 2015 and for the entire 2015-16 cost settlement period.
New Deadline for Filing Appeals Regarding Health and Welfare Services Billing
Section 912 of the Education Law requires public school districts to provide students who attend nonpublic schools located within the boundaries of the school district the same health and welfare services that are available to students attending the public schools of the district when such services are requested by nonpublic schools.
New – Helpful On-Line Calendar of Due Dates Recently Issued by Education Management Services
School districts and BOCES are required to complete and submit various plans, applications and reports to SED via the business portal on a regular basis throughout the school year to be in compliance with federal and State legislative and regulatory mandates, and administrative directives.
