Questar III BOCES Board Member Paul Puccio received the Excellence in School Board Service Award at CASDA’s Regional Education Awards Dinner at the Albany Marriott on April 12. CASDA’s Regional Awards Dinner recognizes outstanding individuals who have demonstrated excellence in serving their school communities.
On March 18, more than 40 board members and superintendents attended an interactive discussion on superintendent-board member roles and responsibilities. The session was specifically developed based on board member responses to a survey.
A student team from Tamarac Secondary School in Brunswick finished in first place at the Odyssey of the Mind State Finals on April 8. They will now move on to the World Finals May 24-27 at Michigan State University – marking the 11th straight year that a team from Rensselaer, Columbia or Greene County has advanced to the World Finals.
Questar III BOCES was named one of the Capital Region’s Top Workplaces for 2017, according to a survey published in the Times Union on April 9. This is the third time the organization has earned this regional honor.
James Keegan received the G. Lucius Cary Annual Service Leadership Award at Questar III’s annual meeting on April 5. This award, named for a former Questar III board member, is given in recognition of outstanding leadership and contributions through volunteer service – reflective of the values and beliefs of Questar III.
