Questar III is one of 145 Boards of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) and school districts in New York State to receive the Utica National Insurance Group’s “School Safety Excellence Award” for 2016. The honor is presented annually and recognizes school safety efforts as BOCES and districts work to help keep students, staff and visitors safe.
On April 19, component school districts’ boards of education unanimously approved Questar III’s proposed $5.8 million administrative budget for the 2016-2017 school year. This is the only portion of the budget that Questar III’s 22 component school boards vote on each year.
Catskill Academy recently hosted a special visit by Chef Peter Desmond and students from his Culinary Arts program at Questar III’s Columbia-Greene Educational Center in Hudson.
The Office of the New York State Comptroller (OSC) recently audited Questar III BOCES and released their report on April 1, 2016.
The OSC audit focused on purchasing and procurement procedures. OSC commended the Questar III BOCES Board and officials for establishing and implementing effective purchasing procedures.
