Questar III announced the winners of the 22nd Annual High School Art Invitational Exhibit at an opening reception held at WMHT Educational Telecommunications in Troy on April 13. Six students were honored for outstanding achievement in visual arts.

Ruth Russell, who teaches Questar III’s New Visions: Scientific Research & World Health program, presented on “Outreach: Public Awareness in Neuroscience” at the 2011 Hunter College Psychology Convention/N.E.U.R.O.N Conference on April 10.

Raising money for relief efforts in Japan

On March 22, students and staff from Questar III’s Columbia-Greene Educational Center in Hudson held a bagel sale to raise funds for the earthquake and tsunami relief efforts in Japan.

Questar III honors Marilyn Noonan

Marilyn Noonan of Catskill received the G. Lucius Cary Annual Service Leadership Award at Questar III’s annual meeting on April 6.

Mertz named finalist for awards program

Pamela Mertz, a career development facilitator at Questar III’s Rensselaer Educational Center in Troy, was named a local finalist for the Jefferson Award, an annual recognition of public and community service around the nation.

Students excel at SkillsUSA Competition

Students from Questar III’s Rensselaer Educational Center in Troy recently won big at the SkillsUSA Regional Competition at Schenectady County Community College and Stratton Air Force Base, involving 400 students from 12 career tech high schools.
